Graduation

  • Requirements for Graduation
  • A student who has satisfied all prescribed academic requirements.
  • A student who has satisfied all financial obligations to the University College including graduation fee.
    • – Classification of Degree
  • First Class
  • – FGPA of 3.75 – 4.00
  • Second Class (Upper Division)
  • – FGPA of 3.25 to 3.74
  • Second Class (Lower Division)
  • – FGPA of 2.51 to 3.24
  • Third Class
  • – FGPA of 2.01 to 2.50
  • Pass
  • – FGPA of 1.00 to 2.00
  • Fail
  • – FGPA of 0.00 – 0.99
  • – Confirmation and Presentation of Award
  • A list of all candidates deemed eligible for the award shall first be approved by the Academic Board before presentation at a congregation assembled for that purpose.
  • The diploma shall indicate the principal subject(s) offered and the class of degree awarded.
  • The diploma shall be awarded by the appropriate affiliated institution(s) fully or in collaboration with the university college until the university college attains its presidential charter to award its own degree.
  • – Cancellation of Award
  • Notwithstanding confirmation of an award of a degree and presentation of a diploma, the awarded institution(s) may be asked at anytime to cancel an award even with retrospective  effect, if it becomes known that:
    • A candidate had entered the University College with false qualifications. Or
    • A candidate had impersonated someone else. Or
    • A candidate had been guilty of an examination malpractice for which a grade Z would have been awarded. Or
    • That there are other reasons that would have led to the withholding of confirmation of the award in the first place.
