
Mr. Enoch A. Amartey holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology, both conferred by the University of Ghana, Legon. He also possesses a Certificate in Higher Education Management jointly awarded by the Universities of Oxford and Warwick, UK.
With over thirty years of distinguished experience in higher education management, Mr. Amartey has held numerous impactful roles across academia and beyond. His career includes positions such as Deputy Circulation Manager at Graphic Communications Ghana Limited, Director of Academic Affairs at the University of Ghana, and Registrar at Radford University College.
Throughout his career, Mr. Amartey has mentored over twenty-one institutions affiliated with the University of Ghana, guiding staff and students in both public and private tertiary institutions across Ghana. He has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in university leadership, participating in numerous conferences, workshops, and seminars focused on higher education management and development.
In addition to his academic leadership, Mr. Amartey has served in various notable leadership capacities, including President of the Ghana Tennis Federation, Board Member of the National Sports Authority, President of the Legon Lions Club, and currently, as a Member of the Board of Governors of Nungua Senior High School.
His appointment to Knutsford University comes at a pivotal moment, as the institution has recently been granted a Presidential Charter to operate as a fully-fledged university. Mr. Amartey’s extensive leadership experience and strategic vision are instrumental in propelling Knutsford toward becoming a premier institution of higher learning, recognized both nationally and internationally, and the university of choice for the younger generation.
